First Security Group holds successful fire evacuation drill at its staff accommodation
First Security Group arranged a fire drill with the Dubai Civil Defence at its staff accommodation with a housing capacity of over 5000 residents, as part of an overall safety and emergency preparedness plan, in order to make sure high standards of safety awareness and highly trained personnel are maintained and be ready to deal promptly with fire emergency situations.
First Security Group had set a plan that was set to action before holding the drill where special trainings were given to employees and Residents.
On 16th November 2014, the Fire Drill started at 11:00hrs as soon as the fire alarm bells went off, 1400 staff and residents at the accommodation immediately headed to the designated assembly area. At the assembly point 1 & 2, inspections were done by the assigned Fire marshals and update was provided to the Emergency Response Team to make sure everyone is accounted for and safe. The Civil Defence commended the efforts of the Team and the evacuation time was under Nine minutes and in the presence of Dubai Civil Defence, Dubai Ambulance and Dubai Police.
The Fire drill is conducted on a yearly basis to increase awareness among the residents in the staff accommodation and to test the implemented emergency response plans.
